Brian Candler (NSRC)

Brian Candler has 30 years experience in product design, programming, networking and systems architecture, and has worked with several large UK ISPs.

Brian has a long history as an Internet trainer, starting with the Internet Society workshops from 1996 to 2000, the African Network Operators Group (AfNOG) workshops from 2000 to 2005, and subsequently at a range of NOG and NREN training workshops across Africa and South East Asia. He has been instrumental in developing the NSRC Virtual Training Platform to provide students with hands-on practical labs, and has delivered training for NSRC in various topics including Campus Network Design, Network Monitoring and Management, Virtualization, and DNS/DNSSEC. He has also led, or been involved in, a number of Direct Engineering Assistance activities.

When not engaged with NSRC, Brian is an independent consultant, based just outside London in the UK.
