Tashi Phuntsho (NSRC & btNOG)
Tashi comes with decades of experience across Telecommunications and IP networks, having worked for Bhutan Telecom since the early 2000s, before working at APNIC until 2022 as the Manager (Training Delivery & Technical Assistance) and a Senior Network Analyst.
Based in Brisbane, Tashi currently works as the Head of Technology Solutions for a disability care and child safety organisation, while continuing to volunteer as a program committee member for APRICOT, SANOG, mnNOG (founding member) and btNOG (founding member) during his spare time.
Tashi also assists with NSRC workshops as co-instructor, especially at NOGs (like this btNOG11).

Dr. Philip Smith (NSRC/btNOG)
Philip Smith has been working in the Internet industry since the early 1990s after catching the Internet bug in the mid 1980s while at University. He runs his own consulting company, PFS Internet Development.
Philip spends some of his time working for the Network Startup Resource Centre as a Senior Network Engineer and Training Coordinator, assisting with Network Operations Groups coordination, and providing network design assistance and training around the Pacific, South and South East Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
Dr.Philip continues to volunteer as a PC member in various NOGs: APRICOT, SANOG, mnNOG, btNOG, ThaiNOG, etc to name a few.

Yoshinobu Matsuzaki (IIJ)
Yoshinobu Matsuzaki is a Senior Engineer at Internet Initiative Japan Inc. (IIJ/AS2497), a pioneering commercial ISP in Japan. He has decades of network operation experience with the IIJ backbone network team. His areas of expertise include network design, network operation, network security, and DNS. He has given numerous talks at JANOG, bdNOG, RIPE, and APNIC meetings, as well as other workshops.
Maz-san, as he is lovingly known, is also a current APNIC Executive Council member.

Brian Candler (NSRC)
Brian Candler has 30 years experience in product design, programming, networking and systems architecture, and has worked with several large UK ISPs.
Brian has a long history as an Internet trainer, starting with the Internet Society workshops from 1996 to 2000, the African Network Operators Group (AfNOG) workshops from 2000 to 2005, and subsequently at a range of NOG and NREN training workshops across Africa and South East Asia. He has been instrumental in developing the NSRC Virtual Training Platform to provide students with hands-on practical labs, and has delivered training for NSRC in various topics including Campus Network Design, Network Monitoring and Management, Virtualization, and DNS/DNSSEC. He has also led, or been involved in, a number of Direct Engineering Assistance activities.
When not engaged with NSRC, Brian is an independent consultant, based just outside London in the UK.

Anurag Bhatia (Hurricane Electric)
Working at Global backbone operator & datacenter provider – Hurricane Electric and based out of India. Spend lot of time in looking at BGP routing tables, traceroutes across the ocean, interesting patterns & tooling around those patterns.
Besides routing I got lot of interest in DNS, root DNS servers, network automation & virtualization.

Tshering Dorji (btCIRT)
Tshering Dorji is certified in ComTIA Security+ and has been working with Bhutan Computer Incident Response Team (BtCIRT) since 2023.
With over 20 years of experience in ICT within district administration, he has executed LAN installations across all government agencies in the district and actively planned and advocated for digital literacy.
He is a passionate seeker of new knowledge. He holds a Bachelor degree in Computer Applications.

Tashi Tshering is certified in CompTIA Security+ and holds Masters of Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance. He currently works in BtCIRT , Cybersecurity Division under the GovTech Agency.Prior to that he has served as a Network and System Administrator for various Government Agencies within RGoB.

Anand Acharya (DHI)
Anand Acharya is a project manager in the National Digital Identity (NDI) project in Bhutan under Druk Holding and Investments (DHI). As a Project manager, he leads the team in developing decentralized Identity wallet and services along with stakeholder engagements.
He has more than 15 years of experience in the IT industry with expertise ranging from software development and Networking to Project Management.
Before joining DHI, he worked in Bhutan Power Corporation (BPC) as Senior IT Officer. He has a Master’s Degree in Cyber Security from Monash University, Australia.

Namkha Zangpo (TashiCell)
Namkha Zangpo is a Network Engineer at Tashi Infocomm Private Limited, managing and optimizing network infrastructures.
With a keen interest in internet governance, Namkha actively engages in various Internet Governance Forums (IGFs). He has participated in forums such as the Asia-Pacific Regional IGF (APrIGF), the Asia-Pacific School on Internet Governance (APSIG), the Asia Pacific Internet Governance Academy (APIGA), and the Asia Pacific Next Generation (APNG) Camp. His involvement in these forums underscores his commitment to contributing to the development and discourse of internet governance beyond his professional role.
